"Jewellery is defined by its appropriation to the body. It must address the body in some way. Within those boundaries there's a lot of room in which to move and experiment, and individual interpretation of this will dictate how pieces come to be. I rub shoulders with the boundaries often, this is an integral part of my practice. The physical definition of jewellery is limitless. You could make a piece that is made up of a string embedded into the earth, the earth is the end of the pin, and the other end of the string is worn by someone." Extract from Lisa Walker text.
